PERSONAL | Things I've learned in 2k15

I don't know how to describe 2015. This year was so different yet instructive. My vision for fake people, school and many other things has totally changed through this year and I really don't know if this is a good thing or not. I've learned one important thing this year: don't waste your time on people who are not worth it or only want you around when it fits their needs. I know this is very important to reming, but actions speak louder than words (also something I've learned this year). There are a few things I really want to share with you guys. This post will probably be my longest one ever so be prepared.
I am not that type of person who likes to share everything in her life with other people, but I think now is the time to share some stuff.

When it comes to school, it's pretty difficult for me to talk about it, since everything in The Netherlands is different than in other countries. There are several difficulty levels in secondary school, my advice was mavo and last year I passed my exams. My grades were good enough to go to havo, so that's what I did. My dream is (and has been since as long as I can remember) to go to law school. This dream (or actually 'goal', because if you call something a dream, you are kind of saying that it's unreal, and I like to be realistic.) is something I really want to make true.
I love to learn things. I know this sounds nerdish, but education determines your future.
When I did mavo, I used to watch movies and series like 25/8 and I know this is the dumbest thing you can do when you're aware of the fact that you're doing exams that year, but I did it anyways. I remember those days when I was watching more than 5 episodes a day instead of learning for an important test like it was yesterday. But after all, I made it. The problem is that I still watch movies and series way too often and I am absolutely not proud of this bad trait. I hope I can improve myself in 2016 when it comes to this whole 'topic'.

I think I have to set this tip as a reminder on my phone or something, because this one is very important to me. I used to always listen to what other people had to tell me. Their negative opinions were driving me crazy, but I wasn't very aware of it. I think I can numerate more than twenty people who used to talk shit about me or other people, but those who play at bowls, must look out for rubs. I always told myself not to listen to them, but it was hard, since some of them were my 'friends'.
I think I can proudly say that I've become more independent and that's a good thing. I don't care what other people say about me: birds of a feather flock together. Not associating with this kind of people has a big impact on my life. I can guarantee you that not having a lot of friends is one of the best things on earth. And please remind this: never talk about something or someone, unless you've seen it with your own eyes or hear it with your own ears.

Everyone has those days when you're in a 'I-don't-wanna-do-anything-but-be-alone' mood and that's fine, you're sometimes in need of those days. But remember that there are so many little yet important things that'll possibly make your life even better. Maybe you have to work for it, but it's normal to put effort in something when you know you'll get something back. The early bird catches the worm. Work for something until you are 100% proud of it. I know some people who were negative about blogging, but here I am. If you've set a goal, please don't give up on it, even though you've been through (a lot of) ups and downs during the process. You can say it's a part of it. Not everything is as simple as it seems and that's good, because if it would be, then I'm pretty sure that people wouldn't put as much effort in things as they do now.

Well, you can see that I really had to release my thoughts. It was a lot, but it feels so good to write everything down. Thank you very much for reading this article and of course I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year with the hope that you will have many blessings in the year to come <3

In this post I am showing you my favorite fashion icons. I know there are a lot of bloggers who are famous because of their original style, but for me, there are only a few girls whose style I really adore. You can see and read everything in the (self made) collage above.
Who is your fashion icon?
